Alley Theatre is producing this world premiere musical in March of 2023, but the show has been six years in the making and is the creation of three dynamic women.

Meet the Creators
Molly Beach Murphy, Annie Tippe, and Jeanna Phillips formed their collaborative trio in 2016, united by a desire to make musical theatre that carves out space for more dynamic female-identifying characters.

Peggy R. Garrett

Peggy Jo's mom, Jerry, became visually impaired later in life - and Peggy Jo cared closely for her. The actress playing Jerry (Susan Koozin) is not visually impaired, so Peggy R. Garrett, a Social Worker and Advocate, is working with the team to ensure that the play depicts Jerry's disability in a way that is accurate and respectful.
Ms. Garrett lost her sight in her 40s, and has been a powerful voice for vision loss with organizations such as the VISTAS Center.
